Outdoor Family Photoshoots

It’s that time of year again, when warm shades of red, orange and gold spread across the landscape. Autumn is my absolute favourite of all the seasons and when I spend most of my time photographing outdoors. It really is the most beautiful time of year for outdoor portraits! Whilst we are within travelling distance of London, we are lucky to have lots of stunning outdoor spaces with a variety of backdrops to choose from here in Wokingham. Long golden grasses or gorgeous woodlands, we really are spoiled for choice when it comes to spots for the perfect Autumn family photo.

Photographing children outdoors really brings out the best in them. As well as the usual sitting down photos I encourage them to run, jump and play. We’ll go exploring, or take inspiration from their favourite book. It’s amazing seeing how their little imaginations fire up as soon as you suggest something that is familiar to them. Favourite children’s books in our house include We’re going on a bear hunt, the Gruffalo and Stickman which all lend themselves perfectly to imaginative outdoor play and help me create gorgeous images of your little ones!

Unlike most other photographers I don’t really pose my clients, instead using prompts to achieve honest reactions from you. Real smiles that aren’t created by saying cheese (they look very different!), real laughs that come from the pit of your stomach, looking at each other with real adoration. For me thats they key to family photos, keeping it real and having fun!

Based just outside Reading in Berkshire, we are only a short drive from junction 10 of the M4.
