Newborn Photoshoot at Home
Newborn Photoshoot at Home
Oh baby Isabelle, you little cutie!
Another gorgeous newborn session and another beautiful gallery.
A lot of clients worry about having photos at home, thinking that we will need lots of space or that they’ll have to spend a week beforehand tidying the house from top to bottom. This just isn’t the case.
For a typical newborn photoshoot at home I’ll start with family photos, usually on a bed or sofa (depending on which has the best natural daylight). That’s one small area to declutter and tidy. Doesn’t sound like a lot does it?
Please don’t let the fact that I come and photograph you at home put you off. Newborn photography is so special and really is something that you’ll look back on fondly for years to come (trust me, I didn’t have it done with my eldest and it is a huge regret of mine). You don’t need to live in a palace or show home, and your house doesn’t need to be spotless. It needs to be comfortable, it needs to be filled with love and the place that you call home.
If anything, home photoshoots often produce the best photos because my clients feel most relaxed there, especially other children. Siblings can sometimes be tricky to engage (especially around 2-3 years of age) so being at home can be a huge advantage where we have access to all of their favourite toys and they feel safe.
It also means that we can include the family pet!
How much does a newborn photoshoot at home cost?
Pricing ranges between £395 - £595.
What age is best for a newborn photoshoot?
Ideally around 7-10 days but it really can be done at any age. Don’t miss out on photos just because you think you’ve missed the window, you really haven’t. You’ll absolutely adore the final images whatever age we capture them at.
