Jaxon's Newborn Portrait Session // Baby Photographer Reading
Baby Jaxon's First Photo Shoot
Stef walked into my photography studio with little Jaxon and my heart just melted.
Bringing him along for his newborn photography session, she was excited for me to capture some beautiful baby photos for her.
While Jaxon was feeding and settling Stef told me all about her pregnancy and how little Jaxon entered the world. I love to find out all about the babies that I photograph, it helps me get to know them by hearing their story.
Once settled, we got some pictures with Mum before moving baby on to the beanbag for his big moment. Jaxon gave me a great range of facial expressions, both whilst awake and asleep.
He wasn't keen on being fully wrapped and actually settled better once his arms had been 'released'. It amazes me how different the baby's that come into the studio all are. Some crave the close contact and support of a wrap, whereas others prefer to have their arms and/or legs free. They all settle in different ways, some spend their whole session awake, some sleep throughout their entire photoshoot. It's great when I get a bit of both; they show their little personalities whilst awake and then complete serenity once asleep.
With Jaxon's fair hair, pale skin and jaundiced colouring he was a tricky one to edit but I think you'll agree that his pictures are adorable!
Below are a few of my favourites from his studio session.
